"A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we’re pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we’re safe in our own paradise. Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we’re two balloons, and together our direction is up, chances are we’ve found the right person. Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life. "

Three weeks ago if someone would have asked me if I believed in the word "soulmate" I think I would have answered with a chuckle and told you that there is no such thing that exists in this world. I have been in many relationships and I have even experienced true love, but I have never had that feeling that a girl truly has touched the inside of my soul. To me the word soulmate means that you have met that one special person who is able to affect your life in every way possible spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Someone that seems to connect with you on every level. Someone that you feel is with you twenty four hours a day whether you see them or not. I truly believed that this kind of connection was just a phantom idea that people came up with in their heads to justify why their relationships were so good. Hard to believe thats how I thought because then Sarah walked in to my life. The first time I saw her I felt a different kind of feeling in my heart. It was strong enough that I knew I had to get to know this woman at all costs. I looked up her information on Twitter and saw she had a blog so I decided to read her entries and see if I could find out things about her. I ended up reading a post where she listed the qualities she wanted in a man and my jaw dropped at all the different things we had in common when looking for our dream companion. I laughed to myself that night as my instant reaction was "Someday I am gonna marry this girl" which is so very unlike me . So I took the risk of initializing contact with her and we started Tweeting back and forth. The more we talked everyday I started to get a new feeling in my heart that I had never felt before. One that was telling me that I had found that girl that connected with me in every way. Now we talk every single day for hours and time always flies when we are together. I can honestly say that I am in love with Sarah and she defines every meaning of the word "soulmate" that I could ever have imagined. So I guess the answer to my blog title question is yes soulmates do exist. I was lucky enough to get to find mine that's for sure.
