Braves Baseball and Life Reflection

"Love is the most important thing in the world, but baseball is pretty good too." - Yogi Berra

Today as I watched my beloved Braves scrape out a 19 inning, 6 1/2 hour marathon win I found myself thinking about sacrifice. I saw a team come together when players went down injured and Pitchers going more innings then they are accustomed too all for the better of the team. I never knew something like this could relate to me in so many ways. I am in love with a writer from Georgia. A truly, honest to god great writer. A girl that has a chance to go places in her life. I am just a guy from Seattle with an average life that certainly could use a fire lite under my ass. Sarah and I have become a team and for once in my life I am willing to sacrifice it all for her dreams to be realized. That means picking up and leaving the only home I have ever known and being willing to try new things in life. It's scary out there with the job markets being as bad as they are to start fresh and new, but that's what sacrifice is right? I have never before in my life put someone else's needs in a relationship before mine and I truly think that the reason I never did was because deep down I knew that the relationship wasn't strong enough to make me put my needs aside. All that has changed now. Every thought I have about being with my girlfriend has been about how I can make her dreams and goals be met by being willing to come closer to her. So as I peruse every job website that could possibly get us closer I do it with absolutely no regrets because these are the things you do when you meet the girl you know you will be with forever.

  1. You're not just an average guy, Baby! You're amazing, and the most incredible man I've ever met. I love you so much, and I'm lucky to have such a giving and strong man like you in my life.
